Meet Bruce Kaufman: President of USLMRA

Just off Lansing Road in Potterville, Mi. You can take a scenic little tour through Lake Alliance Park. Down a tree lined drive thru the woods you come out on a sunny clearing to find the home of the Rough Riders Lawnmower Racing track. It is hidden back behind Lake Alliance in a  quiet meadow. Here you’ll find the race track soon to be buzzing with the lawn mower racing events.

The race drivers get together to have fun but are very competitive on the race track. The adrenaline flows for both the drivers and spectators as the events can include some unexpected mishaps.     
The Rough Riders mowers are built for safety and follow strict guidelines.



The City of Potterville Parks & Rec.  have Camping  available at the Park.
  The Rough Riders Lawn Mower Racing AC was formed on Valentine’s day 2007.
  They are affiliated with and sanctioned by the United States Lawn Mower Racing Association.
  You may have seen the USLMRA Lawnmower Racing on ESPN, Discovery Channel, or Fox TV.
  The Sta-Bil Series entertains folks with several  classes of lawn mower racing machines.

A Little History
  In a backyard on Island Hwy in Charlotte,Mi. a small racetrack was made for some friends to come over and race their lawn mowers and have a fun day. For kicks, it was named NUTS & BOLTS Raceway. Friends brought what they had to race and everyone had a fun filled day, with cookout and refreshments after the race.
  The winners were given Burger King Crown Paper hats and the lady powder puff drivers received a fluffy marshmallow on a stick.

  The Rough Riders have come a long way since 2006. They have found an excellent location to hold events at Lake Alliance Park in Potterville, Mi. The public is invited to come and watch the mower racing events. Events are held every other Saturday during race season and starts in May thru Sept. The Rough Riders have several classes of racers.
